MIT Eye Exam Smartphone Peripheral

Netra (Near-Eye Tool for Refractive Assesment) is a system designed for optomitrists for prescribing eyeglasses.  The work was done at the well-known MIT Media lab, utilizing a smartphone, and cheap attatchment, costing less than a dollar.   It is constructed to simulate the normal tests that optomotrists do, with parellel red and green line, and the patients manipulates what he sees on controls on the iPhone.. The team has founded a start-up called PerfectSight that will sell the device in Asian and African markets.
