3D Printing is impacting even Neurosurgery! We were fortunate enough to network with Mark ter Laan MD, a Neurosurgical resident from the Netherlands. Watch the webcast to hear Mark talk about how the dynamic tech of 3d Printing is helping to educate patients and patient’s family’s about brain tumors. A model is made of the tumor and the Neurosurgeon is more able to discuss how the tumor affects functions, tracts, etc., and why, in some cases, their are certain neurologic effects of the tumor. The neurosurgeon is then able to discuss exactly why and where the tumor is affecting neurologic function, and why, in some cases, it may need to be operated on.
