Wednesday, June 14, was the continuing “Pre-Conference” Hangouts, to the WATCH Conference of “The Future of Wearable Tech 2014”.   Roger Wu MD, and Peter Chai MD of Brown University, and Rhode Island Hospital presented their experiences with Google Glass in the ER with Dermatology cases, as well as some of their observations about other areas in the ER that Google Glass may impact.

They described how Glass was approved to be used, the exact protocol for use in Derm cases,  and how each case was handled.  In addition, we talked about the future uses of Glass in the Emergency room settings.

Triage in the busy ER, remote use in Teletrauma settings, and use of Glass in following certain allgorithms in the ER were discussed.

See the  Hangout, below, and thanks Peter and Roger!
